The hummers have gone for good! Good luck, lil Hummers! I hope you have a nice winter in South America!! Kinda wish I could join them. My toes and nose are already not to thrilled with the cooler weather. Oh well. The Juncos have returned, so the Autumn bird swap has taken place. One of our trees is nearly bare, and but the cottonwoods have just started thinking about changing their green for gold.
The boys keep asking me if it’s winter yet. I think they are eagerly anticipating Christmas already. Qade has even asked about if he has to do school at Christmas. Ha ha! Guess he’s counting down to vacation too! Although this week was Stuart’s “Fall Break” which meant that he got Thurs and Friday off, so Qade did as well. It’s nice to take a break now and then!
Ella wore panties for the first time the other day. 🙂 She received a couple packs for her birthday, and was she ever excited about wearing them!! Ha ha! You’d have thought she’d discovered something phenomenal the way she was prancing around the house in them! She kept pulling at the waistband on her pants and would tell me “Pee-mee’s.” Yes, sweetie, you are wearing panties. 😉 She managed to go through 2 pairs that day. Since I was simply indulging her and in no way ready to start the training process, I wasn’t too concerned about it. Still, I should probably get that thing going pretty soon. Right up there with starting preschool with Myles. 😉 I’m such a procrastinator.
I have had a couple really great experiences with business clients recently. It has given me new energy for the whole photography biz thing. 🙂 I was starting to get a bit discouraged with the lack of results from my marketing endeavors, but the past few weeks has helped to change that. Here’s hoping the trend continues!! 🙂
We’ve been drinking Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spice coffee lately. It’s certainly the taste of Fall! I tried to drink it once when it was still warm out, and it was gross. 😉 Certain flavors belong to certain seasons, there’s just nothin’ you can do about it.
Right now Ella is admiring her reflection in the darkened screen of my desk top, ha ha! She sat there for a moment playing with her hair, and then turned to me and said, “hair?” So I got a little pony and a flower barrette from her birthday and did a little pony tail for her. After we were done she climbed back up the stool to ‘check’ her do in the reflection, ha ha ha!! Silly little gal! I love that she has more of a girly side than I ever did. 😉 Maybe “acting like a lady” won’t come so difficult for her.
We had our first frost this morning. I don’t want to go out and see what my plants look like. There are several that I need to move into the garage for the winter. They’re probably fine though, it certainly wasn’t a hard freeze. Yesterday we had rain, lotsa wind, and even some hail, so that brought the temps down a bit.
Anyway, I’m just rambling now when I should be doing something that needs to be done, like fold the never ending stream of laundry that I can’t seem to get on top of. 🙂
Happy Weekend!
