Last week my favorite niece in the whole wide world turned one! :-) We all got to go to her b-day party which was oodles of fun, fun, fun. Plus food and yummy cupcakes so who wouldn’t want to be there, huh? ;-) Anyway, I took my handy dandy camera with my new 50mm lens and had fun snapping away. Thought I’d post a few of the pics for the fam. The rest of you are welcome to look as well. Ha!! There are plenty more pics where these came from, but I figure I got some of the highlights here! Enjoy!

The birthday girl! I just love her little dress!

Helen was much more “dainty” about eating her cake than my lads ever were. :-) Guess it’s a girl thing.

Her mom actually put the frosting on her nose because she needed some color. ;-) Ha ha ha!

Birthday Girl

Cousins crash! They all love to play with these push toys the the grandparents have for them. This building had wide open spaces too which made it even more fun!

What’s a birthday w/o balloons? Qade popped one and got upset. Myles popped one and acted like absolutely nothing had happened. Weird! Helen didn’t pop any.

Opening gifts was a grand time. I think she would rather have been down to play, but I love how intense she is on this package. I mean look at the Michael Jordan concentration going on there!

Playing UNDER the table has to be the most exciting thing ever!

Oh, my – I absolutely LOVE her dress! Do you know where they got it? Oh, and by the way – I think that it is high time you had a girl, so I am going to pray that way – k? :-) Great pics.

Aww, your niece is so cute! I think daintily eating cake must be a girl thing…Emma never smushed her cake on her face once! She just picked off little pieces at a time :)

No, I’m not sure where that dress came from. My guess would be Target or The Children’s Place. Maybe I can find out from Joy. Thanks for your prayers, Em, but I’m pretty sure the gender is already determined by now. ;-) Not that God didn’t know you WOULD pray, of course. ha ha!! It would be nice to have a girlie in our family, but it’s good to know that God knows exactly what we need, and we tend to be pretty fond of boys too. ;-)

Ya, when I was pregnant with Leila and we didnt know she was a girl, there was a lady in our church who prayed all the time it would be a girl. She was SO excited when she was born and her prayers had been answered! I now what you mean, too. Any baby is great! I wouldn’t mind having another boy….. (but not for a little while, if I can! It is all up to God!) :-)

It’s actually the shirt of a shirt/pants outfit (about 3 months too big) that my sister got Helen for her birthday. I emailed my sister to ask her where she got it.

    Cool, thanks Joy!

  7. Joy says:

Grace says she got it at Khol’s

Joy forwarded some of Rachel’s photos so we could enjoy them here in Florida. Thank you! They’re very good! I”m betting the green top with the daisy pattern is by Carter’s as I’ve seen that pattern in their line lately. By the way, I’m Helen Grace’s great grandmother! We love getting photos of her!
