Well, fam, here it is! THIS is the stroller I’d like to get for our 2 munchkins. It’s actually very reasonably priced, and I believe will do the job nicely! You can view the babies r us link to it right HERE.
It’s actually made by the same company that our current stroller is from. The only other strollers that I kinda like would be in the 4-5 hundred dollar range, and that’s just way over the top.

Time to Chill

Camp is over and done… well, sort of. This summer has concluded, but Stu still has oodles of work to do, and I’ve got some as well, but it’s great to move on to the next thing. Good-byes never thrill me much. We had a fabulous staff this summer, and God did some great things! It was a blast to be a part of it. I’m excited to see what is in store for the next year or two especially. Sometimes I feel like we’re just hanging on for the ride, as God makes a ministry. It’s a really awesome experience!!
Anyway, the staff all dispirsed yesterday, as one of them said on facebook, “The Cows have come home!” Funny! We brought one of our staff back to Albuquerque, and we’re spending a couple days with the fam here and getting our cat. She has grown!! I’m glad, cause maybe that’ll give the mice something more to think about! Ha! Yesterday Stu and I had a “Stu and I time” afternoon.
We just spent the day together, while Qade entertained his grandparents with his new walking skills. We saw Wall-E and that was funny! Then we hung out at Starbucks for a bit. I got a Kiva-juice smoothy though! Haven’t had one of those in a LONG time and it was delicious! To top it all off we went to dinner at Applebees! Yummy! Oh, before that though, Stu took me to “Other Mothers” a consignment store for baby and mommy stuff. I found a couple pairs of pants for the Bubba and none of them were more than $3! I also found a carseat cover for the wee one, and some new born outfits. It’s a great place to find gently used clothes for sure!
Unfortunately last night I had a migraine. Ugh! I kept trying to kill it, but it decided to try to kill me back- blah! Mom rubbed my neck for me and that did help some. Stu was great and put Qade to bed, so I could take a shower and relax. This am it was much better, and I took a long needed trip to the chiropracter and that helped as well.
Okay, so me and Mom are going to get our toes “done” today so I must get going. Thanks for being willing readers. Hope you’re day is going well! Toodles!

Hey fans! Last night we had a great dinner with the staff at the Olive Garden! I ate way more than was good for me, but I enjoyed every bite! Qade did well. I was thinking that he would struggle being in a high chair after having been in his car seat all day, but he was remarkably patient. We all had a good night’s sleep and woke up bright and early to get on the road this morning. We had been warned that there was construction in our path and we wanted to get through it as early as possible. A very scary thing happened while I was trying to get Qade in his seat this morning. One of his buckles was all wacky and twisted, I have NO CLUE how it got that way, but I had to move him to try to get it straight, so I set him on the seat next to me, and he lost his balance and took a head dive right out the door of the Yukon! I screamed and grabbed for him, and caught him by the seat of his shorts, literally! I hauled him back in and we hugged as he calmed down from his fright and I calmed down from mine! It was one of the scariest moments of my life I think. Still it was obvious that God was watching over us and my “lightning reflexes” were working. Wow! My mind could drive me crazy with the ‘what if’s” of life, but I know that there’s no use borrowing trouble. I’m just glad that we didn’t have an accident today!
We’re supposed to make it all the way back to camp in Alpine tonight. It’s going to be a long day. Actually kind feels long already, but I think that we’re making good time. I’m just more than ready to get back and be home. It might be awhile yet before we’re “normal” as we have to get the cat and the dog and get the house in order, but at least we’ll be back. I ordered a vacuum from Sears that should do a great job of cleaning our floors. I don’t want Qade to come across any mouse ick while he’s playing and exploring. Blah!
Well, I shall sign off for now before I loose internet access. Happy Monday to you all!
On the Road Again!
07.27
Yesterday morning pretty bright and early we got up and left our camp home for the last nearly 3 weeks in Canada. You’d think it was sad, but it wasn’t. We were all very happy to get on the road and head back home! Jr. Camp went very well. The kids were excited and energetic, and had a blast as usual. Jr. campers are so much fun, because they can have the best time with the most simple activities. It’s like they’ve made up their mind that they will have a great time, and they do, no matter what they are doing. Anyway, Stuart did a great job speaking for the services as well as running all the games and such. Kind of a one man band, but he had a lot of help. It wore him out a lot though, and I don’t think that he’ll do the speaker/program guy thing again. It’s a lot for one person. Still, like I said he did a fabulous job. He and the other available staff worked really hard to get all of camp packed up early as well. It was great too because it gave all the staff a chance to take it easy on Friday. We took everyone to Airdrie to do some emergency laundry, and get some good food! Our fam ate at A&W and it was yummy! We were all so hungry, even Qade, so when Stu came with the food and took a little “extra” time setting down the tray, Qade reached up and snagged off one of his chicken tenders! It was soooo funny! But anyway, it’s all over, and we have crossed the border and are back in the states! It’s a really good feeling! Even though Canada doesn’t feel that different, it still is, and it’s nice to feel that “home” feeling just because you know that you’re in your own country. It’s hard to explain.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to pulling into home tomorrow evening! Tonight we’ll be staying in Salt Lake at a church, and it’ll be the last hurrah with the staff as we take them to the Olive Garden. But I’ve been ready for a little while now to be back to a “normal” schedule. The mice that have taken over our home are going to be evicted! I’ve got a bunch of plans for stuff that needs to be done before new baby arrives. I really want to get the kitchen painted, after the mice leave, and everything is sanitized.
So the next trip to town I take will send me to Home Depot to get some color ideas. I’ve been batting around concepts in my brain, but I’m not yet sure what I’ll do. Don’t worry, once it’s done I’ll post some pics for you.
Okay, I must quit for now. Hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday!
Hip- Hip- Hurray!

I am going to be an Aunt!!! My brother called me all the way to Canada today to share the great news that he and his lovely wife are going to be parents! I’m already calling it as a girl! Mom said that she’s caught up with the Noggles (my in laws that is) because they have 2 and a third on the way, now Mom has 1 and 2 on the way.
As if it’s a competition, sheesh!
But I’m very excited for my baby bro (sniff) it’s hard to believe. Part of my brain still wants to believe him to be a skinny 7 yr old who can’t keep his socks and shoes on both feet at the same time. However, I know that he’s become a wonderful man, and will make a marvelous daddy. Maybe second only to Stuart.
So yay for me! I’m very happy!
Canada
07.15
Well, we’re here sure enough, eh? We all arrived safe and sound in Alberta, even had some good experiences at the border. As in the agent we spoke to actually smiled this time! Wow!! Everyone got more or less settled in on Wednesday evening, and then the storms rolled in. There are some terrific thunder, lightning, and sometimes even hail storms out here on the planes. Well, we were snug enough in our camper, though the hail did get a little bit loud at times. It was big though, last year we had golf ball sized hail, now that was scary!!! Anyway, it decided to keep on raining all through Thursday when we were supposed to be unpacking camp. To ease the boardom of the day some of the guys hauled a basket ball goal into the big room in the building where they played some pretty intense basketball apparently. I had just brought Qade down to the kitchen to roam around a bit before lunch when it walked Stuart with blood all down his neck and all over his shirt. That was not a happy sight, but I didn’t panic because I realised it was from a little gash in his head and it always looks worse than it is. Still… I ended up taking him into a town not too terribly far from here, and we only had to go to 3 clinics till we found somplace available and afordable. The first place was booked, the second wanted $500 just because we were out of country and another $200 for the stitches. The third place was friendly, afordable, and fast! Wow! So Stu got his first stitches ever for the about inch and a half gash over his eyebrow, and I got a trip to town with my hubby, and Starbucks out of the deal.
All’s well that ends well, huh?
The staff had a trip to Banff planned for Saturday, and we were looking forward to going and getting lots of great pics with our new camera. Life had other plans though, and on Friday I was smitten with one of the worst migranes I’ve had in a LONG time! It actually got bad somtime around 1 or 2 am on Saturday, and I thought I was gonna die! You may think that’s dramatic, but when there’s a pain that sevear in your head, you just can’t get away from it. Stuart was a great help to me. Marriage is awesome! You get to live with your best friend ever, and that person cares so much about you that they are willing to sacrifice their own comfort to help you if they can. He got up with me, and stayed up for a long time just rubbing my neck and head till I could finally relax. Poor hubby! His own head still hurt from the elbow incident, so his sacrifice of sleep really did mean a lot to me. Makes me feel so loved!! But anyway, the point was, I was in no shape to have an outing the next day so we hung out at camp, just the little Noggle clan. It was a good day even if my head still was hurting. At least it was no where near as bad!
That next night I took Nyquil, ha, should have known better. I took a full dose too, and I did know better! I slept like a rock and was totally “hung over” all of Sunday. Good grief! NEVER again! I felt so completely stupid, and I’m sure I came across as less than all there. *sigh* Oh well, for sure the next time I’ll know better.
The campers came today, and we have a record number for Camp on Wheels ever!!! They are highly energized and I just know it’s going to be a great week. Jim Shettler is the speaker this week, and I’m looking forward to sitting in on a couple of the services. Qade has been great! He loves Canada, I think, and he’s really tight with some of the staff. He’ll have to adjust to just Mom and Dad again once we get home. I’m afraid we’ll be boring compared to the energetic college kids, but maybe Qade won’t mind. Pretty soon he’ll have a lil bro anyway, and won’t give it a second though. Speaking of little brother, he has been quite active lately, and his “pats” are becoming much more forceful.
We’re very excited that in about 3 months we’ll get to meet this new little one.
Okay, I’m going to try to post this, but who knows if it will, cause the internet out here is very patchy!
Baby Steps
07.08
Well it’s happened! On Sunday afternoon Qade took his first genuine official first steps!! He’s pretty thrilled with this new talent! I was rather proud of him myself. He took several “practice” steps to lunge from one piece of furniture to another, but then once he decided he could do it, he started taking steps just to be stepping. The first few times, it was hilarious, he kept his arms straight up over his head for balance. It was too cute!! At one point he walked all around the livingroom and finally stopped in the middle of the floor, and got so psyched out that he started laughing hysterically, I was laughing with him too, and he finally had to sit down cause he was laughing so hard.
Well, we got started on our road trip with some baby steps of our own. Monday morning, we got a later start than we planned, but it still all worked out well. We got to Salt Lake last night around 7:30. Qade was ready to be out of his carseat for sure once we got here, but he had been a trooper with all the driving. There is a cute little park with lots of grass and some play equipment not far from the church we were staying at, so once we’d had some dinner we took a strole to the park and let Qade play. He walked some more on the grass, uphill even! The texture of the grass (and it was great grass too!) was a novelty for our little Arizona boy, but I think he liked it! He has a little grass rash on his legs today though. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to give him a good bath this evening.
Right now we’re on the road again headed toward Idaho and our ultimate destination for the day MONTANA!! Fun fun fun! We’re planning to do a midweek service for the church of the folks that we stay with tonight. I think it’s actually going to take place in their backyard! How fun! We get to drive through some really pretty country today for sure! The mountains in Salt Lake are amazing, and it just gets pretty-er up in Montana, and Idaho is always so green! It’s fun to watch the landscape change as we go. Especially going from the dry high desert of AZ to the lush farmlands of Idaho, to the towering mountains in Montana. It’s awesome! Today Qade has 4 staff members riding with us in the Yukon to keep him company. He just loves to “yack” at them.
It’s too cute to watch him have conversations with everyone and anyone. I’ll try to post some pictures on here from our fun park outing and Qade walking tonight. So stay tuned…..
Yay for Fireworks!!
07.04
Happy fourth of July!! We just found out today from our resident volunteer fire dude that there will be fireworks tomorrow night in Alpine!!! Woo-hoo! I was thinking that we’d have to do without them again this year, but happy day, I was wrong! We’ve got a great weekend planned even though it’s going to be busy! The jr. campers left today after lunch and the staff has been hecticly busy since then trying to get the camp cleaned and packed for the trip to Canada. I have been working in the store getting stuff packed into different bins for storage and shipping. We’ll be taking some of the stuff along with us to sell to the campers up north, but other of it needed to be in plastics to avoid rats getting into it. Then this afternoon Stu and I worked in there to get the “staff surprise” ready for them. It’s fun to do specail things for people, ya know? Even if it is simple, it’s still cool! Anyway, so they’ll get to have that this afternoon/evening when most of the work is done. THEN tomorrow the real fun begins. We’ll probably use the morning hours to wrap up most of the packing/cleaning, but then after lunch we are taking the staff to a Rodeo!! Those are just way fun!! We’ll do that in the afternoon, and then we are planning to grill these fabulous steaks for a yum-yummy dinner and THEN, as if it couldn’t get better, we will get to see the fireworks!! It’s going to be a late night, but I want to take Bubba anyway. He needs to experience some fireworks for sure! Today he is wearing his little red, white and blue USA outfit. It’s very cute. He even got watermellon juice on it at lunch, and if that’s not a sign of the 4th, I don’t know what is.
So enjoy your holiday and your independence too!
Ick!

That’s exactly what I thought last night when I got home. There on the counter and in the sink were “calling cards” of a nature that I didn’t want to see. Yep, our home has been invaded by mice!!! Nasty! While our cat is safely living the high life with Oma in Albuquerque, the mice have decided to take over the place. There was a bowl that had assorted candy and snacks in it on the counter, and they were freely feasting from it. Gross! I dumped the contents into the trash and got rid of any other food sources I could think of. Qade had a grand time playing at home. I know that he recognizes it, but at the same time since he’s been gone for so long it’s a novelty too! After I put him to bed I was sitting in the livingroom and low and behold one of the virmin hopped right across the floor!!! With all the lights on and everything! Now what is a poor unprotected woman to do when she’s held hostage in her own home by mice???? Well, I wished for my hubby, and then sensibly went to bed. I mean, surely they won’t be upstairs. (dum-de-dum-dum) Sleep was long in coming for me last night. I don’t like spending nights away from Stuart at all! Especially when my soul has been harrowed up by nasty critters. I even found signs of them in Qade’s room. Grrrrrr! So just as I was starting to drift off dispite myself I heard a very strange noise and it was coming from INSIDE my room!!! I sat up, stupidly, for a few minutes trying to decide the best course of action. It ended up being- reach over and turn on the lamp, duh! So I did, and nothing happened. Just as I was deciding how best to go back to sleep along the wall runs a very active long tailed big eared mouse! He stopped and looked at me, just like I was looking at him, even sat up on his back feet. I informed him that once I got my cat back there would be no midnight chats between us two. In fact he’s got another thing coming if he thinks this coupe is going to go over easily!!! I don’t know exactly how yet, but the mice will be banished! It’s a lot of work, and there’s nothing really that we can do about it till we get back from Canada, and that’ll be nearly a month from now, so I’m sure the issues will only increase before then. However, I’m totally fine with cleaning out the cupboards and washing ALL my dishes once we do get back. I’m thinking too of investing in a new vacuum because the hose on ours no longer works. I’m going to want to vacuum the crevases very well, because I believe this particular mouse can carry the Hanta Virus. Not so good! No worries though, Stu hates little icky things just as much as I do, so between the 2 of us we’ll rid the house of the “disgusting creatures” and clean and sanitize our way to healthy living.
Just thought you’d all like to know.
