Since I’m back in the “camp mode” I have to, of course, wear lime green on Thursday. It’s tradition! Qade also has some lime green that I got him on purpose so that he too could join in the fun. Mostly though, I don’t think he knows what he’s wearing half the time. In fact he’d go around in the buff if we let him.
Yesterday was fun though. We went through some of the stuff for the General Store, and organized a bit of it. We’re going to let a couple of the creative counselors help “decorate” and set up though. We’re super excited about some of the new stuff we have to sell to the campers. Today I think I need to get the office set up and I’m not sure what all else. I think a nice Alpine walk is due now that the stroller is here. Stuart had to run back “home” for church last night and he picked up a bunch of stuff that we couldn’t fit before. Well, I need to grab my mornin’ coffee and get the boy up and ready for breakfast. Toodles!

Happy Lime Green Thursday!

Yay, Camp!
05.28
Here I sit in the beautiful White Mountains of Alpine, Arizona savoring my morning coffee. I just LOVE camp! It’s in my blood I suppose. We got here yesterday, and already we’ve “pow-wow’d” with our fellow staff and made some great planning progress. This week will be busy busy as we plan for and work to get ready for staff training. There are a lot of little kinks to work out, of course, but we’re much more ahead of the game this year. It would be awesome if we got some more registrations before camp actually starts, but we’re pretty sure that people will be coming even if they bring their registrations with them.
Well, my morning lounging is over. I must get the boy up and dressed so we can all head down to camp for breakfast. Ta ta!
Kickin’ and a Grinnin’
05.26
This evening the “new” baby has been having a grand ol time in it’s nice warm room. It’s been so happy about “something” that there has been a little party going on in there. Yes, and apparently dancing is the main event in this party for one. I guess really it’s a party for two, because while I’m not in on whatever it is that’s so exciting, I can get in on the dancing part, in a way.
This little one has really been kicking a lot this evening, in case you hadn’t caught that. It makes me smile to feel the little tap dancer in there. I get more and more excited to meet this new little person who is coming into our lives. I know that Qade will be an awesome big bro, and it’s already been proven that Stuart is an amazingly great Dad. So now all we need is to find out who this little somebody is. We already know that he/she is wonderful, I’d just like for everyone one else to get in on it, not just me.
Gettin’ rid of animals
05.24
Hi friends!
We’ve been busy this weekend getting “rid” of our critters (and plants) for the camp season. The cat we brought to Albuquerque where she will be staying for a short time with my brother and his wife. She will then move a little ways across town to stay with my Grandma and her dog Maggie. Hopefully they will all get along. Cisco (dog) we took up to Colorado to stay with Stuart’s sis. She’s a dog lover, and they have 3 of their own. I’m quite sure that Cisco will be spoiled by all the playmates and lovin’ that he’ll get while he’s up there. I think that halfway through, he’s going to go stay with Stu’s parents in Chino. There he will feast on all manner of fat things as my mom-in-law tries to fatten him up.
He’s a lean dog, and runs a LOT and she thinks he needs a bit more bulk, so he’ll have the chance to get it. In Colorado he’ll be so busy playing with the other dogs he won’t have a chance to put on extra weight. We’re quite sure that both of our animals will be well taken care of this summer. We just hope they want to come home when it’s all over.
It will be nice to travel and not have to worry about having a stinky dog in the vehicle. We have a sometimes stinky little boy and that’s enough for us, and the poor staff who will be traveling with us this summer.
Warm Days and Home-made Ice Cream!
05.20
It suddenly turned SUMMER here today! Wow! I think it got up to *90, and tomorrow will likely be hotter! Shwew! So to commemorate the “first day” of summer, I bought an ice cream machine and made some ice cream. I’ve only had a tiny taste, (cook’s prerogative) and then as soon as I’m done doinking around on the computer, Stuart and I are going to dig in.
The sun is sinking, the boy is in bed, but it is still not coolin’ off much in this house. We’ll likely sleep with the windows open tonight…. at least upstairs. I don’t like to leave downstairs windows open. Our swamp cooler is still “winterized” so that is no help at this point, but there are a couple ceiling fans that do at least move the air around. I’m just very thankful that I’ll be spending a lot of the summer in the cool mountains. I’m beginning to wonder, though, when we get back it will be Aug and that’s like the hottest month of the year! I imagine I shall move my glider rocker under the cooler vent and just sit there and sip lemonade. At that point I’ll be 7 months pregnant and those little people in there tend to feel like a furnace!
Okay enough blather. The lap top is making my legs hot too, so now I need to console myself with some nice frozen newly churned ice cream!
Ta ta!
Nevermind

Okay, so I did all that work to tell you all that I’m “moving’ my blog, and now I’ve decided not to.
My tech savvy hubby informed me that at blogspot you have a very limited space, and because we have a new stinking nice camera, the picture files are HUGE. That being said it would quickly eat up the available space if I did photos the “easy” way, so now I’m stuck jumping through the same loops in order to post the pictures. SO I decided to just work on my patience and continue on as I had been. I was actually, in part, doing it for you, my readers, because I figured that you probably wanted to look at pictures more than just read my blather. However, if that’s the case you can always just not read whats on here, and wait for the post with the pics.
I was going to write a big long blog about all the stuff I’ve been doing lately, but that will have to wait. My hubby needs some breakfast, and I’m starving too, so I will see you all again, same raz blog, same raz time.

Movin’
05.12
Hi friends and faithful readers. I have finally made the decision to move my blog again.
I do that from time to time it seems. I’ve just become tired of the hoops I have to jump through to post photos and such on this blog. So my “new” blog is at raznoggle.blogspot.com
You can just click on that link to go there, after that you may want to add it to your favorites or book marks.
Hope you all will continue reading. I like to get your comments and feedback!

Teefers Trouble
05.09
Poor baby boy is havin a hard time the last couple days.
I believe it’s the terrible teething that causing it. He’s already getting MOLARS!! No free time between teething in this house. He’s had some really wretched diapers, and a low grade temp since yesterday. Today there were moments where he just seemed to be way too uncomfy. He was putting everything he could find in his mouth to munch on, and would get frustrated if the chosen object (like a ball) wouldn’t fit! That was actually a little humorous. Still, I felt really bad for him this afternoon. He got up from his nap, after not quite an hour, and had another yucky dirty diaper, but his poor little bottom is so irritated by this point that he just wails while he’s being changed. Then his teeth really seemed to bother him, so I gave him some tylenol and his first pop cycle! It’s one of those ones in the plastic sleeve that you push up or whatever. Anyway, another crisis occurred when he realized this “thing” made his fingers cold. So mommy wrapped in in a washcloth and helped him eat it. He really got into it once he didn’t have to hold it, and I’m sure the coldness of it helped to take the edge off of the teeth pain. Poor lad! He’s trying to be a trooper, but there’s just so much you can take, ya know? I gave him a bath tonight to try to help his poor bottom, but I think the water made it burn too, cause normally he loves baths, but this time he just cried and didn’t want to sit down. I let him play “mecked” for a little bit to let it dry out before caking him with Balmex. Hope it helps overnight. Tomorrow we are going for a hike!!! Stu surprised me by calling and canceling Sage and arranging for us to have a family outing! How sweet he is!!! Having a great man in your life really makes it wonderful! Hope you all have as great a Friday as I plan to have. Toodles!
